product development

  • My first responsibility as design director was to work with users and stakeholders to develop a product matrix that aligned the needs of salespeople with development opportunities. Accent Technologies had a confusing array of aging desktop products and they'd lost their edge in the sales enablement space. In stages, we built webapps, native mobile apps, and Salesforce plugins that matched platform with process, and established an extensible ecosystem of Accent products.

  • As Accent's design director, I took a hands-on approach. I was directly involved in all aspects of product development. In the following sections, here's what I did:

    • User research, competitive & comparative analysis
    • UX design for mobile and desktop apps
    • Branding & product iconography
  • A whitebaord drawing showing a mind map of customers needs
  • A diagram showing user flows within a mobile app
  • The login screen and search feature in the Accent Activate mobile app
  • The salesperson activity summary screen and weekly call details screens in the Accent Activate mobile app
  • The buyers activity summary screen and view details screens in the Accent Activate mobile app
  • The Accent Share login widget
  • The Accent Connect portal tracker screen
